'Son of the Wind' Lee Jong-beom joins KT as coach



'Son of the Wind' coach Lee Jong-beom joins KT in baseball.

The KT Baseball Organization announced today (April 24) that it has hired Lee Jong-beom as its first team outfield and infield coach. KT is said to have been impressed with his ability to coach infielders.

He will join KT's final camp in Wakayama, Japan, tomorrow (Nov. 25).

Lee was a four-time stolen base champion during his playing career, and in 1994, he stole 84 bases, the most in a single season. He also coached at LG, where he imparted a variety of tactical and base-running skills to his players.

That's why KT, 파워볼사이트 which finished last in team stolen bases (61) in the regular season this year, decided to hire Lee after the season ended.

After playing for Haetae from 1993 to 1997, Lee Jong-bum went on to play for Chunichi in the Japanese professional baseball league, before returning to KIA in 2001, where he played until 2012.

He then followed former manager Kim Eung-yong to Hanwha as a first base coach, and then to LG as a coach and broadcast commentator.

Lee is reunited with KT manager Lee Kang-cheol, with whom he coached during the heyday of the two-hitter-driven Hattae dynasty.
